Hi! We’re Luke and Becca and we’re missionaries serving with Crossworld in Haiti where we are working to develop a new generation of pastors for the Haitian church.
Thanks for stopping by our site! We’ve created this as a place where you can follow along as we live and serve in Haiti.
We were married in 2007 and the Lord has given us four amazing, joy-filled kids: Grace, Lydia and Joshua and Alex.
We are passionate about two things: the life-saving grace that is found in Jesus Christ, and developing leaders for the Haitian church that have the heart of a servant and a passion for discipleship.
We’ve served in manifold capacities here for over 15 years. It began by traveling on several short-term work teams. Then, after graduating from college, Luke joined the staff of an international church in Port-au-Prince and lived here for a year. We continued serving during the summers through pastoring, teaching, and community development. After Luke finished his ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary in May 2013, we set our compass to return to Haiti full-time and arrived in the summer of 2016.
Our Story
Our journey began in Danville, NH when we were part of the same youth group in high school. A few years after high school, we sensed a call to ministry and headed to South Carolina to attend Bible college at Columbia International University.
While at CIU, we felt God leading us to long-term ministry overseas. The thought scared us at first, but we couldn’t shake the burden we felt for the people we’d met in Haiti.
After college, Becca remained in South Carolina for a year to teach 3rd graders at Covenant Christian Academy. Luke accepted a position as a pastoral intern at Quisqueya Chapel in Port-au-Prince. During that year, our burden for our friends in Haiti grew stronger.
When the year came to a close, we returned to New Hampshire for our wedding in July. Not even a month later, we packed up our stuff and headed to Dallas for Luke to attend seminary.
In Dallas, Becca taught 1st graders at Grace Academy of Dallas while also directing their after school program until Grace, our first child, was born.
Luke attended Dallas Theological Seminary and graduated in May 2013 with a Master of Theology degree (ThM). During his last years of seminary, and until the Spring of 2015, he worked full-time for DTS as an Admissions Counselor. He continued to serve DTS as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the seminary’s Dynamics of Christian Leadership course until 2018.
Throughout our time in Dallas, we remained involved with ministry in Haiti. We spent a couple of summers there while Becca was a teacher. Later, in 2010, we took a semester off from DTS to help after the earthquake. In the summer of 2012, Luke led a team from Dallas and New Hampshire to help secure housing and restart a business for a woman who lost everything in the quake.
Shortly after graduation, we were appointed by Crossworld as missionaries to Haiti. Crossworld has disciple-makers all over the world and has been working in Haiti for over 50 years.
Here in Haiti, Luke serves as the Assistant to the President and as a professor at the Séminaire de Théologie Evangélique de Port-au-Prince (STEP).
Becca uses her gifts both at home homeschooling our kids and in our community. She especially loves the opportunity to come alongside new moms in a discipleship role as they navigate the early days of motherhood.
